Plans, limits & billing

Your plan sets your limits and which capabilities are switched on. Plans and add-ons are quoted to your scope after a demo: use Talk to us on Billing, or book a demo. Once you subscribe, manage your payment method and invoices from the Stripe customer portal.

Every plan sets the same list of levers. What differs between plans is the value on each one:

Lever What it caps
Frameworks How many frameworks you can have applied at once
Seats People in the workspace
Vendors Third parties tracked in vendor risk
Evidence storage Total stored evidence, plus a per-file upload limit
AI credits Monthly allowance for AI features
Integrations & API Whether the REST API and integrations are enabled
Directory sync Whether Entra ID / Google Workspace sync is available
White-label Whether Keel branding can be removed
Training Whether security-awareness training is included

The current values live on the plans page, not here. A limit copied into documentation is a limit that goes stale silently, and a wrong number about what you are entitled to is worse than no number.

  • Start: use Talk to us on the Plan tab in Billing. Keel sends a quote, and payment is handled by Stripe, so card details never reach Keel.
  • Change: ask us for the plan you want. New limits take effect as soon as the subscription updates.
  • Cancel: from the Stripe customer portal, any time. There is no cancellation flow to sit through and nobody to email.

Keel Quality and Trust Center Pro are separate subscriptions, so you can add them on any plan. They are quoted with your plan, and each one is managed and canceled from the same Stripe customer portal as a plan.

  • Keel Quality: the product-quality half of ISO 9001, on top of the management-system modules you already have. Ask for it from the Add-ons tab in Billing. It is billed per workspace.
  • Additional frameworks: on Starter, more frameworks means moving to Pro, which includes every framework.
  • Trust Center Pro: white-label and a custom domain for your trust center. Ask for it from the Branding tab of Trust Center.
  • Oscuro: exposure monitoring, set up with us.

The Compare plans tab in Billing lists what each plan includes. If a partner set up your workspace, it runs on the partner’s plan, and add-ons for the workspace are billed to it.

A Keel promo code adds AI credits and is redeemed under Settings → AI credits by an owner or admin, once per workspace.

Being over a limit does not delete anything. Keel stops you adding more of the thing you are over on, and tells you which lever it is. Existing data stays exactly where it is, including after a downgrade, so a plan change never costs you evidence you already collected.

A trial gives you the paid capabilities for its length without a card. When it ends the workspace drops to the free limits rather than locking; your data is still there, and subscribing restores access to what the plan allows.

AI features spend credits from a balance the whole workspace shares. Paid plans that include AI add a monthly allotment, and you manage everything else under Settings → AI credits. Only an owner or admin can change the controls or redeem a code.

  • More credits: use Talk to us on the AI credits tab, and extra credits are quoted with your plan. Packs are for plans that include AI, because credits on a plan without AI could not be spent.
  • Monthly spend cap: set the most credits the workspace may spend in a month, or leave it blank for no cap. Once the cap is reached, AI actions stop until the next month or until you raise it.
  • Auto-recharge: a workspace that already has it on keeps buying its chosen pack when the balance drops below the threshold, and can switch it off.
  • Promo codes: a Keel promo code adds bonus credits to the balance straight away. Each code can be redeemed once per workspace.
  • Recent activity: the latest allotments, purchases, refunds and AI uses, each with who triggered it.

Credits you hold do not expire, including after a downgrade to a plan without AI; they wait on the balance until the workspace is on a plan that includes AI again. Welcome bonus credits are the exception and show the date they must be used by.

The same tab has a switch for the whole workspace. With AI off, every AI tool is disabled, its buttons are grayed out, and nothing is sent to the AI provider. Credits and history are kept and return when you turn AI back on. Only an owner or admin can change it.

The Ask Keel for auditors section sets a daily limit on auditors’ AI use. See Ask Keel.
